This could also be said for all the Buddhas that have been before us. They have also given there all back to their community and people so that they can to prosper in the joy of enlightenment. To become enlightened you first must give your all.
When we truly desire to give unequivocally then the energy you receive from that act is greater then any drug or thrill activity that you will ever do. Try each day to give without attaching ego to your actions.
EXERCISE: – Today I would like you to think of something you can do to give back to your world. It might be something as simple as filling the cereal container for the next person, opening the door for others instead of yourself, letting a person into your spot in traffic instead of speeding up, handing over some change to those people collecting at shopping centres for a charity instead of saying you don’t have any change – Go and get some change, you are in a shop!
